Quaker Road, Portions of Princeton Pike Will Be Closed Thursday

Quaker Road and a portion of Princeton Pike will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12.

Vehicles coming into Princeton that would normally use Quaker Road will be detoured onto Province Line Road, police said.

Princeton Pike will also be closed between Hutchinson Drive and Parkside Drive. All northbound traffic on Princeton Pike will be detoured into Hutchinson Drive and southbound traffic traffic will be detoured onto Parkside Drive. The Princeton Pike closure is for tree maintenance. Police said the size of the equipment being used requires that the road be closed.

  1. Someone must have irritated the Governor again. They couldn’t put off the tree maintenance so as to avoid blocking multiple means of access to Princeton from that direction?!

Remember the “traffic study” a couple of years ago involving closing the dog-leg exits from Route 1 South into Princeton?

  2. It was a frustrating trip into Princeton from Lawrence. A 6.7 mile trip to the IAS took 52 minutes!!! How about letting your surrounding towns in on the plans. Lawrence always sends text alerts to their community to avoid that area. Or what about sharing the “one way traffic”! Or place some police to help with the influx of traffic on 206!!!!!
