One person dead after Princeton Pike crash

One driver died in a crash Monday morning on Princeton Pike just north of Lewisville Road, and a second driver was hospitalized, police said.

At about 6:45 a.m., the Lawrence Township Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a two car motor vehicle crash along Princeton Pike. The two vehicles involved were found off the roadway when police arrived on the scene. The driver of a small sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver, who was operating a pickup truck. had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire fighters and EMTs and was taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton for treatment. The name of the deceased driver has not been released yet.

The pickup truck was traveling northbound on Princeton Pike while the sedan was traveling southbound on Princeton Pike, police said. The crash is still under investigation at this time by Officer Shaun Carroll, Det. Joseph Radlinsky, and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office Serious Collision unit.
