Princeton animal control officer arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting boy at Pa. park

Barson

Princeton Animal Control Officer Saul Nathan Barson was arrested by the Solebury Township Police Department for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old boy in a park earlier this month.

The Solebury Township Police Department received information regarding a sexual assault that occurred on Feb. 3 at the Pat Livezey Park in Solebury Township, Pa. The investigation revealed that Barson, 29, of Lambertville allegedly was the perpetrator.

Solebury police said the boy’s mother was able to obtain a license plate number for the man and it was found to be registered to “Animal Control of Princeton and Investigative Services,” with an address matching Barson’s address in West Amwell. A social media account used to make contact with the child was traced to Barson’s email address.

Barson was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility.

He was arrested on Monday, Feb. 20 and arraigned by District Court Judge Gallagher, who set bail at 10 percent of $300,000.00.

Barson was remanded to the Bucks County Prison. He has been suspended from his job in Princeton without pay pending further investigation.

  1. Remind me what we fired the last animal control officer for, again? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t anything remotely in this league.

    1. Animal Control Dep in Princeton is lousy… nobody returns calls in a fashion manner. With the one who was fired, a deer hit by a car stayed in the road for almost 1 week, it was unbelievable, they are good for nothing. I believe he was fired because there were no paperwork regarding vaccinations and that department reports to the state… don’t quote me, like Trump would say, I heard that ?. Now, the dead deer in the road, that one I saw every day for almost 1 week.
