The public gallery of the Cotsen Children’s Library at Princeton University will close for several months for renovations. The last day of children’s programming at the gallery will be Friday, June 2, with a reopening planned for early 2018.

Children’s programs held in the gallery will be suspended during the gallery’s closing, but online programs will continue. Select Saturday events will be held at off-site locations.

The Cotsen Children’s Library is part of Princeton University Library’s rare books and special collections department.Over the upcoming months, the gallery will be updated while preserving whimsical spaces, including the famed two-story bonsai tree. The Cotsen research collection of illustrated children’s books, manuscripts, original artwork, prints, and educational toys from the 15th century to the present will continue to be accessible for research during the renovations, which are part of the Firestone Renovation Project.
