Saturday storm brought down trees, flooded some area roads

North Harrison Street at Hamilton Avenue was closed for a few hours on Saturday night due to a downed tree. Harrison Street was re-opened at about 10 p.m. after a public works crew removed the tree.

The Griggstown Causeway flooded early Sunday morning and remains closed. Some roads in Trenton were flooded on Saturday. Other area roads could still flood depending on the amount of rain the area receives on Sunday.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening before 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Monday is expected to be sunny through mid morning, with a high near 68. Wind gusts as high as 30 miles per hour are possible.
