Howell Living History Farm Barn Dance – Dancers and toe tappers of all ages are invited to join the fun at Howell Living History Farm. The Jugtown Mountain String Band teams up with caller Sue Dupre during the farm’s annual summer barn dance. The event will be held inside the Charles Fish barn, a circa 1850 barn. More information

“His Girl Friday” will be screened at the Princeton Garden Theatre in Princeton Friday at 8:45 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m.

Evening Hayrides at the Howell Farm – The Mercer County Park Commission will offer Saturday evening hayrides at Howell Farm on July 8, 15 and 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. The horse-drawn rides last 20 minutes, passing through the fields, fords and meadows of the 130-acre historical farm. Visitors also can enjoy self-guided tours, picnicking and a marshmallow roast 5 to 8 p.m., Howell Living History Farm, Valley Road, Lambertville. More information

Princeton Summer Theater Presents “Pippin” – The Tony Award-winning musical at the Hamilton Murray Theater at Princeton University. A young prince sets out to discover his purpose in the world in this classic musical. 2 p.m.

Brentano String Quartet – Free concert is part of the Princeton University Summer Chamber Concerts. The concert will be include commentary from Professor Scott Burnham. A reception will follow.  The quartet will play Quartet No. 7, Opus 59, No. 1 by Beethoven; “The Fifth Book” by Stephen Hartke and a Madrigal Set by Carlo Gesualdo. Tickets are free and are available online on a first-come, first-served basis. Remaining tickets will also be available “first come, first served” at the Richardson Auditorium Box Office at 2 p.m. Saturday.
