New Hopewell group to host summer restaurant week in August

A new restaurant association in Hopewell Borough will host a summer restaurant week Aug. 7 to Aug. 13. As part of the event, the association will host a farmers’ market Aug. 9 to showcase the local farms the Hopewell restaurants use.

Participating restaurants will offer a special menu during the week. Most will feature a  three-course lunch and dinner menu.
The Farmers Market will be located at 52 East Broad Street in a courtyard across from the Brick Farm Market.

Over the winter some of the owners of local eateries started to meet informally to create the Hopewell Boro Restaurant Association, said Jeff Kyle of Antimo’s Italian Kitchen.

“We hope to create events like this to remind the surrounding communities that Hopewell Borough has a great variety of restaurants located in a quaint borough, and that it is one of the areas top dining destination,” Kyle said.

The new organization will be taking over the March restaurant week in Hopewell and creating new food related events like the summer event. Restaurants will also share recipes on the group’s website, Eatinhopewell.com.

Association members include Antimo’s, the Blue Bottle Cafe, the Peasant Grill, Brick Farm Market, Brick Farm Tavern, the Brothers Moon, Basilico Trattoria, and the Hopewell Valley Bistro and Inn.
