Person struck, killed by Amtrak train Saturday night near Princeton Junction

A person was fatally struck by an Amtrak train near the Princeton Junction station Saturday night at about 8:30 p.m.

The Silver Star No. 92 train heading from Miami to New York City when it struck the person on the tracks. No passengers or crew members were injured in the incident.

Northeast Corridor passengers experienced delays for the rest of the night. Several trains had to wait on the tracks after midnight while police completed their investigation at the scene, which was approximately the same location where a Princeton High School sophomore was fatally struck by an Amtrak train on Thursday afternoon.
