Princeton High students will moderate school board candidate forum Oct. 8

Not in Our Town Princeton will sponsor a public forum featuring school board candidates from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton on Cherry Hill Road.

The forum will be moderated by Not in Our Town student advisers and Princeton High School students Valeria Torres-Olivares and Hamza Nishtar, who will be asking the candidates questions submitted by other Princeton High School students. They will also take questions from the audience.

Organizers say the forum will provide an opportunity to engage high school students and discuss issues that matter to students and their families.

Six candidates are seeking seats on the school board for the Princeton Public Schools. Three three-year terms are available in the November election. All three school board members whose terms end Dec. 31 have decided not to seek re-election.
