Alan Reid in concert at Princeton Folk Music Society

The Princeton Folk Music Society presents an evening of the very best in modern and traditional Scottish song and folklore with singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Alan Reid. Born in Glasgow, Alan has been taking Scottish folk music all over the world since 1975. He was a founding member and principal songwriter of the Battlefield Band. Alan helped cement the “Batties” reputation as one of the most influential Celtic bands of its generation. His songs tell compelling stories firmly grounded in Scots history and tradition, and are supported by very singable melodies. Alan and the Battlefield Band were inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame in November, 2016.
