Animation Takeover
April 26 - April 27
Calling all animation and anime lovers! Join us at the nonprofit Garden Theatre during the weekend of April 26th and 27th for our first ever Animation Takeover. This two-day celebration will feature films that span the medium – from traditional hand-drawn techniques and stop motion and everything in-between. This program will include an eclectic assortment of titles that you don’t want to miss!
Opening the event on Friday, April 26th, is Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, followed by the stop-motion masterwork Mad God. The lineup for Saturday, April 27th, features the beloved classic The Iron Giant, Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Tokyo Godfathers. Closing our Animation Takeover is Perfect Blue, considered by some to be the greatest anime ever created. Gain access to all 6 films in the program by purchasing a weekend Punch Card: $55 for general admission; $40 for members; and $45 for students.
