The library’s artist-in-residence, whose works are on display on the second floor, discusses his work and its relationship to feminism. Veloux is a Princeton-based artist who uses Lego pieces to create artwork that includes three-dimensional portraits of iconic women, including Jane Fonda, Lady Gaga and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Veloux’s The Mask of Femininity: Feminist Portraits will be up through January 5, 2018 and during the fall he will be conducting a hands-on workshop for children, sponsoring a competition and spending several Sunday afternoons working on a new piece in our front lobby. While he is at work in our lobby, he will welcome questions from the public. Check back by October 1st for the complete schedule of events.
Co-sponsored by the library and the Arts Council of Princeton
An event every day that begins at 9:30am, repeating until January 3, 2018
