Conversation with Nigerian Artist Taiye Idahor

Join Princeton University Professor Chika Okeke-Agulu, of the department of art and archaeology and department of African American studies, in a conversation with contemporary Nigerian multimedia artist Taiye Idahor, this year’s Sarah Lee Elson, Class of 1984, international artist-in-residence at Princeton. A reception at the Princeton University Art Museum will follow. Free admission, but seating is limited.

Idahor lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria, where she was born in 1984. Her practice includes the use of hair as a visual metaphor in collage, drawing, sculpture and mixed media. Her work has been exhibited in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
