Ed Synakowski, associate director of Science for Fusion Energy Sciences at the U.S. Department of Energy, will discuss the path to the development of fusion energy at PPPL’s Ronald E. Hatcher Science on Saturday lecture on March 5 at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, 100 Stellarator Road, Princeton.
The title of Synakowski’s lecture is “Reimagining the Possible: Scientific Transformations Shaping the Path Towards Fusion Energy.”
Science on Saturday lectures begin at 9:30 a.m., but visitors should plan to arrive early because seats fill up quickly. The doors open at 8:15 a.m. with refreshments for early birds. The lectures are free and parking is available on site. Adults should plan to bring a photo ID, such as a license or passport, to show at the security booth.
