D&R Greenway Poetry/Hike/Picnic Cedar Ridge, Migration Series: May 23
May 23 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pmFree
On Wednesday, May 23, at Cedar Ridge Preserve in Hopewell, join D&R Greenway Land Trust and renowned local poets for the second event in their Poetry of Migration series, involving trail walks with poetry and a picnic. At 10:30 a.m., guests will take a guided hike, then picnic and enjoy recent nature poems of Lois Marie Harrod, Maxine Susman and Carolyn Edelmann. Following nature’s migration routes on D&R Greenway preserves, participants actively connect with the Princeton Migrations Project, a community-wide celebration of diversity spearheaded by Princeton University Art Museum. Guests bring lunch, blanket and/or beach chair, water and a hat. For all New Jersey hikes, D&R Greenway strongly recommends sun block, insect repellant, long pants tucked into long socks in closed shoes, and long-sleeved shirt. To register, email@example.com. Event is at D&R Greenway Parking Lot on Stony Brook Road, north of 518 in Hopewell. Directions and parking information will be conveyed upon registration. In the event of rain, the event will be held in the RWJ Room of the Johnson Education Center, One Preservation Place, Princeton. www.drgreenway.org
