Enable, Inc. presents Winter Manmohini 2017 on March 11 at the West Windsor Plainsboro High School South theater. Enable is devoted to helping children and adults with chronic disabilities and seniors live full and independent lives within the community and serves almost 600 people throughout New Jersey. The event is a fundraiser for Enable’s programs and services.
The Satrangi Dance School, featured in Manmohini 2016, is the highlight of the show with more than 300 dancers participating and thousands of costumes. There will also be a one hour play produced by the Indian Cultural Society of East Brunswick and directed by Burkha Kashnani.
Rohheet Boxi, who founded Satrangi, lost a leg to cancer as a child. His profound belief in the healing ability of dance led Boxi to found Dance with Wings, a nonprofit that provides free dance lessons to children and families living with autism, Down Syndrome and developmental challenges. One of the dances at the Enable fundraiser features a performer with autism.
