Join us for a special event to honor the common soldiers of George Washington’s army, who overcame both odds and adversity to prevail at Princeton in January 1777. Veterans, historians and preservationists will gather in Princeton for Washington’s 284th birthday to remember the sacrifices of these brave men and urge preservation of the hallowed battleground where they achieved an immortal victory.
At present, Princeton is one of the most endangered battlefields in the nation. The site of Washington’s Charge, where a bold counterattack by the Continental Army saved the cause of American Independence, is being bulldozed. Raise your voice to prevent development on this sacred ground!
