Our last featured artist of 2015 is Mill Hill resident Gwyneth Jensen! Growing up on a farm and in the Poconos in Pennsylvania you can understand where the title originates from. Both of those places were rich in imagery that continues to this day to inspire Gwyneths art work. She is very much drawn to images of crows and toads, plants and trees and living vibrant things in general. She enjoys to use deep saturated colors in her paintings. She also thinks outside the box and enjoys surprises and her mosaic boxes are meant to be touched and opened and closed. She thinks of them as hidden treasures or “jewels”. Gwyneth wants her work to come across as luscious and beautiful.
“I would like it to be something beautiful they want”. – Gwyneth Jensen
