An event every month that begins at 10:30am on day First of the month, repeating until August 5, 2016
First Friday Story Time takes place at 10:30 a.m. on the first Friday of every month. Children 4-8 and their parents have fun learning about the natural world around them.
The Mercer County Park Commission’s Naturalist staff and educators have selected stories to foster the imagination and help children appreciate nature and the legacy of the Lenape Indians who lived in the Abbott Marshlands. A craft or activity will follow to encourage further exploration of the story’s theme. Story Time will be held rain or shine, whether outside in the open-air classroom of nature or inside by the warm and welcoming fireplace.
Story Times for the summer of 2016 are May 6, June 3, July
1 and Aug. 5. The nature center is located at 157 Westcott Ave. in Hamilton.
