Flavors of Greece Cooking Class

Learn to make beautiful dishes featuring the flavors of Greece. In this class we will make an appetizer/snack dip, bright citrus salad dressing, quinoa salad featuring classic Greek ingredients, and marinated pork. Cook along to make the meal or simply enjoy the demonstration and make the dishes later. Through the class, you will pick up tips for incorporating Greek ingredients in creative ways.
About Our Presenter:
Vanessa Young is a cooking instructor, writer, and educator known for her artful approach to food and wellness topics and her focus on seasonal meals. With her artistic sensibility and kitchen wisdom, she helps home chefs become more versatile in their approach to food, reigniting their passion for cooking through private and community classes. As the founder of Thirsty Radish, she shares recipes and inspires a creative approach to life in and out of the kitchen.
This event is part of the 2024 NEA Big Read – an initiative designed to broaden our imaginations and understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. The featured book Circe by Madeline Miller retells a Greek story from the eponymous heroine’s point of view, giving voice to a lesser goddess of Homer’s The Odyssey.
