Join volunteers for some light but satisfying weeding on the Veblen House grounds, which is being cleared of invasive nonnative plant species and replanted with native wildflowers and shrubs. We’ll cut the seedheads off of garlic mustard and snip small resprouts of what once was a giant, acre-sized wisteria monster. If you have them, bring gloves, hand pruners or loppers. Friends of Herrontown Woods will also supply some tools, along with instruction in plant identification, refreshments and a tour of the historic site.
