Guyot Walk Volunteer Workday

New and experienced volunteers will work together, removing invasive plants and replacing them with native flowers and shrubs. / Voluntarios con o sin experiencia trabajarán juntos, eliminando plantas invasoras y reemplazándolas con flores y arbustos nativos.

Sign-up to volunteer! Spots are limited to 30 per shift. / Hay un límite de 30 plazas por turno.

Be sure to bring a reusable water bottle and work gloves. We recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants, and work boots/sneakers–this will best protect you from thorns, ticks, and poison ivy. We ask that if you are feeling sick or have potentially been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, to please stay home and join us at another time. / Traiga una botella de agua reusable y guantes de trabajo. Recomendamos vestir de mangas largas, pantalones largos y botas/zapatillas duras; esto lo protegerá mejor de las espinas, las garrapatas y la hiedra venenosa. Le pedimos que si se siente enfermo o ha estado potencialmente expuesto al virus COVID-19, se quede  en casa y venga con nosotros en otra ocasion.

If you have them, bring gloves, pruners, lopping shears, shovels, spades, rakes, wheelbarrow. / Si los tiene, trsaiga guantes, tijeras de podar, pala, paleta, rastrillo, carretilla.

Water and light refreshments will be provided. / Tendremos agua y refrescos.

Meeting Location: Entrance to Guyot Walk at Jefferson Road (estimated entrance address between 188 Jefferson and 200 Jefferson). Walking and biking is encouraged. Limited street parking is available along Jefferson and Moore.

Lugar de encuentro: Entrada a Guyot Walk en Jefferson Road (la entrada se encuentra entre la 188 y la 200 de la Jefferson Road). Se recomienda que venga caminando o en bicicleta. Hay estacionamiento limitado a lo largo de las  calles Jefferson y Moore.

The workday will be rescheduled to Sunday, April 2 from 1-4pm in the event of extreme weather. / Se fijará otra fecha para la jornada de trabajo en caso de condiciones climáticas extremas.
