Toronto-based harpsichordist Kevin Komisaruk will be visiting the Princeton Early Keyboard Center this week to play a recital on the evening of Friday April 29. The program will include music of Frescobaldi, Couperin, Scarlatti, Bach, and Duphly, played on two contrasting instrument, in the German and Italian styles. Kevin Komisaruk is a New Jersey native. He grew up in Maplewood, and took organ lessons with Gavin Black at Westminster Conservatory in the late ’80s. He attended McGill University in Montreal in the ’70s and has been based in Canada ever since. Kevin has been Associate Professor of organ and harpsichord at The University of Toronto since 2003. He has performed throughout the world, and recorded organ music of Samuel Scheidt and John Bull.
