Hear Italian Music from the 18th to the 20th Centuries at Dorothea’s
January 5 • 5:00 pm
Enjoy a selection of Italian composers’ solo piano pieces and opera transcriptions when David Leifer, adjunct professor of piano at Westminster Choir College of Rider University and independent piano teacher, presents a program on their many contributions to the vast keyboard literature. The program will begin with works originally written for harpsichord, moving to works written for the piano, and feature pieces from greats including Scarlatti, Clementi, Puccini, Verdi, and others.
The event, from 5-7 p.m., is free. Dorothea’s House is located at 120 John Street in Princeton. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to share at a post-program reception. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. dorotheashouse.org
