The historic old church in Trenton needs to re-invent itself. St. Michael’s boiler blew, and they’ve got to prove fundraising capacity to qualify for a matching grant to begin raising the money for a 21st-century HVAC. So they are launching a last-minute fund-raiser to pay for their big fundraiser in October to prove they’ve got what it takes.
Not only do they have what it takes, but they’ve got some real stories to tell. For example, besides having Joseph Bonaparte’s daughter interred with their other famous parishioners, St. Michael’s just discovered that they have two paintings of his on loan for 100 years from the City of Trenton, that hung in his house at Point Breeze!
For only the price of a chicken dinner, donate a ticket’s-worth and St. Michael’s will list you as a founding member of “Friends of Old St. Michaels”. Then stop by for a tour on June 29, and get chicken when you check-in!
