May 25 • 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
freeGet immersed in the world of a historical time and place, and then engage with a scholar to learn the “real” story. May 25’s virtual session features Joseph Andras’ Tomorrow They Won’t Dare To Murder Us, winner of the Prix Goncourt for first novel, one of the most prestigious literary awards in France. Set during the Algerian War of Independence, the novel is based on the true story of a young man named Fernand Iveton and a young politician named François Mitterrand. The program will be facilitated by Jennifer Sessions, an Associate Professor of History and Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Virginia, and co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library. Book Group sessions are NOT recorded.
