Violinist Joshua Bell has captured the public’s attention as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, orchestra leader, and conductor with a musical outlook encompassing progressive bluegrass, rock, jazz, and more. His work has been heard by millions, be it through his numerous Live From Lincoln Center specials, his more than 40 albums, or his contribution to numerous movie soundtracks. As a musical statesman, he was also a member of President Obama’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities and a participant in the government’s inaugural cultural mission to Cuba. Bell will be accompanied by Alessio Bax, an artist noted by Gramophone as “among the most remarkable young pianists now before the public.”
