La Fiocco presents: Handel’s London: Chamber music by the Master & his contemporaries

With its thriving music scene, 18th-century London was a haven for native and foreign-born musicians. Handel, however, was the undisputed genius, respected by friend and foe alike. Our program of solo pieces, trio sonatas, concertos, and overtures, recreates a salon in the age of Handel and the first three King Georges. Music by Handel, Thomas Arne, James Oswald, John Loeillet, Elisabetta de Gambarini, Michael Christian Festing, and William Corbett.
