A Hopewell Community Event series will focus on making a difference in the lives of others and will begin with the topic of homelessness.
The first event will be Monday, September 21, 7 p.m. at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 20 Blackwell Ave., Hopewell, NJ 08525. The featured speaker is Colleen Duerr, Development Director, of Family Promise of Hunterdon County, which provides homeless families with shelter and supportive services to transition to stable housing.
Hopewell churches participate in Family Promise, providing shelter space and volunteers for cooking and serving meals and supervising residents.
Everyone is invited to attend to learn more about homeless issues right here in the Hopewell community and how Family Promise and the local volunteers assist families to transition back to stable lives and how you can help.
The Hopewell United Methodist Church will present different “Making A Difference” topics on a monthly basis.
