Join us as we share space for the Way of Tea Ceremony and meditation. We will have bowls of Tea in silence, easing us into an awakened presence, sharing a spiritually rich experience together. We use the elements to awaken Leaves and explore our deepest Self. This ancient Ceremony is appealing to the five senses, and gives us a chance to open our hearts to Nature, and ground us to the simple pleasures of daily life.
This ceremony is thousands of years old, and has deep roots in Zen Buddhism and Taoism. Tea has been used in this practice medicinally, and to cultivate higher states of meditation. In this Ceremony, we use what we call “Living Tea”, meaning it is sustainably farmed, or wild, old growth Leaves that are organic and cared for and harvested with Love. This plant medicine has deep Qi, creating harmony with mind, body, and spirit.
Some examples of the health benefits the Tea plant contains are high levels of antioxidants, supports bone strength, prevents cancer, eases irritability, and creates a calm and alert state of mind. Benefits of this ceremony with these Leaves include a state of mindfulness and presence, appreciation for Nature, connection with ourselves and community, and much more.
