National Treasure: Q&A and Book Signing w/ National Treasure Hunt Podcast
June 16 • 1:00 pm
Nic Cage is going to steal the Declaration of Independence and you and your whole family are invited to come along for the ride! Don’t miss our big screen celebration of the 20th anniversary of this modern classic. We will host NATIONAL TREASURE franchise experts, Aubrey Paris & Emily Black, co-creators of the popular podcast, book, and tour NATIONAL TREASURE HUNT, to discuss how history and science contribute to the film and to share behind-the-scenes production secrets. Their discussion will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.
About the Film: Nicolas Cage plays Benjamin Franklin Gates, an historian and treasure hunter who sets out to find a cache of gold hidden away by the founding fathers of the United States. With clues hidden in the original drafts of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, Gates races to claim the fortune before a group of mercenaries do. Filmed in and around Philadelphia at such notable landmarks as Independence Hall, the Franklin Institute, and Reading Terminal Market, NATIONAL TREASURE is a fun caper with plenty of twists and turns.
