The January reading will feature music-themed poetry by Andrew Condouris and Todd Evans. Their readings will be followed by an open mic for up to 10 audience members who wish to read their original poetry.

Todd Evans is an award-winning poet and playwright, and the founder and president of The Don Evans Players community theater group. He also hosts the Classics Books open mic and the Freedom Friday open mic in Trenton.

CondourisAndrew Condouris writes poems that resonate with the cadence of life’s quiet moments and the rhythm of human experience. At a young age, he discovered his passion for poetry while taking weekly speech tests in a sound isolation booth. Alone with words, this formative period sparked a lifelong love for language and verse. After completing his undergraduate studies, Condouris earned a master’s in fine arts in creative writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, honing his craft and exploring the complexities of poetic expression. He now channels his creativity into nurturing young minds as an English teacher in the Trenton Public School District. Condouris’s poetry reflects the intersection of the personal and the universal, weaving together themes of identity, memory, and the beauty of life’s ordinary moments. His work invites readers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in the intricate tapestry of existence.
