Princeton Photo Workshop: Composition-on-Location at Philadelphia City Hall
August 18 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm$99
Philadelphia’s city hall is one of the largest municipal buildings in the country, boasting “the most comprehensive sculptural decoration of any American building”. The exterior is covered with “exuberant”sculpture representing the seasons and continents, allegorical figures, heads and masks. The course will begin with a discussion of camera settings, composition and light. Then the group will take pictures around City Hall and Dilworth Park, capturing images of monuments and sculptures, including the newly-restored LOVE sculpture at nearby LOVE Park. After the class, those who are interested may accompany Jenny (4 people at a time; $8 admission) up the tower to the city hall observation deck underneath the statute of William Penn for panoramic views of Philadelphia.
