Princeton Photo Workshop – New York City Street Photography: The ABCs of the East Village
June 16 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$99
The East Village has been a symbol of counterculture in New York City since the 1950s. Once synonymous with beatniks and later with punk rock, the neighborhood today is a unique mix of people and cultures, music and art. During the day, the class will explore Alphabet City and other notable East Village spots, learning to identify a good street photo. The group will work on striking the right balance of storytelling and technique, from camera settings to lighting and composition, and the instructor will discuss strategies for photographing candid scenes versus posed street portraits. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way to look at your work and answer questions. Instructor: Josh Weiss.
