For the next Gotham Princeton networking lunch event, the featured speaker will be Ray Disch, founder and CEO of the Sourland Mountain Spirits distillery. Ray will be speaking about the journey he has taken in creating the distillery. The lunch will be held on Friday May 11th from 12:30 to 2:00 at Agricola Eatery in Princeton
As a graduate of Cornell University and co-founder of Princeton’s Triumph Brewing Company, Ray has always had a knack for business. With experience in construction and real estate, he decided to bring his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building the community to a new challenge: something local, meaningful and sustainable. So, in 2014, Ray decided to bring his dream to fruition by creating Sourland Mountain Spirits in his hometown of Hopewell, New Jersey.
Since only a year prior to Ray’s new venture craft distillery had become legal in New Jersey, Sourland Spirits can call itself “the first farm distillery in New Jersey since Prohibition.” At a location surrounded by farms, the distillery incorporates very fresh ingredients into its spirits. Using state-of-the-art equipment in a newly renovated barn, Ray ensures that the highest standards of flavor, aroma, and consistency are upheld throughout each stage of the process. Sourland Spirits is committed not just to making the business a success, but also to bringing the greater Hopewell community a locally made, handcrafted and sustainable product that everyone can be proud of.
