Rethinking Diaspora Judaism in an era with a Jewish State

October 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$54

3 Sessions: Oct. 18, Oct. 25 & Nov. 1

Can one live a “full” Jewish life outside the Jewish state? Is there a purpose for Jews living in the diaspora?

In this 3-part series led by Rabbi Justus Baird, we’ll learn about the relationship between the Egyptian Jewish Diaspora and Jews living in the Land during the Second Temple, study the ideology of sh’lilat hagolah (the negation of the diaspora) that was a key part of Zionist thought, and reflect on a possible mission for Diaspora Jews in the world.

Open to the Community!

TJC Members: $36, Non-Members: $54
