Seuls en Scène 2023 presents Les possédés d’Illfurth by Munstrum Théâtre

September 8 • 8:00 pm

Free

Some legends endure.

In the fall of 1864, in the small Alsatian village of Illfurth, a mysterious and spectacular evil struck two children, Joseph and Théobald. Religious authorities declared it a case of demonic possession and proceeded with an exorcism. 154 years later, Lionel Lingelser, a native of the same village, intertwines this disturbing legend with the story of Hélios, a fantasized avatar of the teenager he once was. In a riveting solo performance, Lingelser seizes the stage as if it was a magical kingdom, summoning the ghosts and devils who have shaped him into the actor he is now. He drops the mask, unravels the thread of this incredible story, and delivers a brilliant tribute to the art of theater.

The show is performed in French with English subtitles. Show duration is 1 hour, 10 minutes.
