A Princeton University production of Speech and Debate, a play by Tony-award-winning and Pulitzer-prize-finalist playwright Stephen Karam, of The Humans renown.
Speech and Debate is a rich exploration of identity and friendship, by turns heartbreaking and hilarious. It tells the story of three eccentric high school misfits who are forced into an unlikely alliance as they form a Speech and Debate club in order to reveal a sex scandal that involves them all. Karam creates a surprising, wacky, and often moving portrait of youth and its end — one that asks old questions in new ways of how to live, and as whom.
