Staged Reading: “amethyst.”

September 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free
A staged reading of EveryLibrary’s 2019 Artist in Residence Brandon Monokian’s new post-apocalyptic library play “amethyst.” will be presented at this special after-hours performance. The EveryLibrary AIR program invites artists from diverse backgrounds to reflect on the role of libraries in modern life – especially at the intersection of politics and the arts. This year, AIR Producers Erinn Paige and Laura Damon-Moore asked Monokian to create a new play to comment on these ideas. “amethyst.” premiered earlier this month as a staged reading at the Philly Fringe Fest. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the 60-minute performance will be followed by an audience discussion with the cast and playwright. Community Room
