Story & Verse: Outdoor Poetry, Storytelling, Spoken Word Open Mic

Welcome to Story & Verse, a monthly open mic showcasing regional storytellers, poets, and spoken word artists of all kinds. Story & Verse welcomes everyone, from beginners to published performers.
All are invited to perform original works based on this month’s theme – PERFECT STORMS – to be interpreted as broadly as the performer wishes. Or, join our encouraging audience!
June begins our outdoor Summer Series! Meet us in the amphitheater at Pettoranello Gardens for this free event.
HOW TO PERFORM:
- Prepare a story, poem, or spoken word piece up to 5 minutes in length and related to the theme.
- Arrive by 6:15pm to add your name to the hat. No previous experience or pre-registration necessary.
Held every third Thursday of the month in partnership with Trenton Curator, Story & Verse is hosted by Brass Rabbit.
