The Hun School’s Janus Players will get mysterious and spooky when they present the musical The Addams
Family on Feb. 9th at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 10th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in John A. Saks ’31 Auditorium.
A 2010 Broadway musical, the play is a take on the 1960s TV show about a ghoulish and macabre family
unaware that there is anything unusual about them. The musical shows what ensues when the Addams’
daughter, Wednesday, falls in love with a “normal” boy and must introduce her family to his.
“We selected the show based on input from the students, musical director Ryan Brown, and choreographer and
dance teacher Lisa Yacomelli,” said Hun Theatre Director Bill Esher. “Our goal is to pay homage to the
Addams Family that we all know from the popular TV series. The students are embracing the style of that
show, and we hope that audiences will leave feeling that they have visited some old friends.”
The principles of the play pictured are, front row L to R: Aimee Millington ’21 as Pugsley; Devon Pasieka ’21 as Wednesday; Sophie Tarditi ’20 as Morticia; Tejus Govani ’18 as Gomez. Back row: Sarah Willenbucher ’19 as Grandma; Martin Caforio ’18 as Lucas Beineke; Ben Wild ’18 as Uncle
Fester; Ava Petrecca ’18 as Alice Beineke; Anish Kokkirala ’18 as Mel Beineke; and Christian Schulte ’18 as Lurch.
