Join the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) and the Princeton Public Library in the ACP’s Solley Theater for a unique Jazz Appreciation Month performance: Sonic Liberation 8 featuring Oliver Lake. Sonic Liberation 8 is deeply rooted in the traditions of Afro Cuban music and has spent years fusing that grand tradition with new sounds, including composed jazz, modern chamber composition, and the powerful Orisha spirit. This eight-member ensemble has played extensively in the Philadelphia and New York areas and at festivals and cultural institutions throughout the Midwest U.S. and Canada. Sonic Liberation 8 has consistently won international critical acclaim and has been Top 10 by the Village Voice, All About Jazz, Jazziz, and more.
This Jazz Appreciation Month event is free and open to the public. Register for free at artscouncilofprinceton.org to reserve your seat.
