The Arts Council of Princeton, in partnership with the Princeton Shopping Center and Edens, presents the Blawenburg Band on June 29 at 6 p.m. in the Princeton Shopping Center,3 01 North Harrison Street, Princeton.
The band will play American patriotic music the evening before Independence Day. The Blawenburg Band is one of the oldest community bands in the state, founded in 1890 in Blawenburg.
The members of the band range in age from their teens to their nineties, and include teachers and students, research scientists, lawyers, computer specialists, homemakers and active retirees. Some players have years of training and professional experience, others learned to play as children and are dedicated amateurs.
Concerts will be held rain or shine; bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the case of rain, concerts will be held indoors at the Arts Council’s Pop-Up Studio in the Shopping Center. Ample parking is available at the Princeton Shopping Center.
