The Gunfighter

Gregory Peck plays morally gray gunslinger Jimmy Ringo, known as the fastest gun in the West. Trying to lie low, Jimmy is challenged by a brazen cowboy to a shootout. Tired of killing, he tries to avoid the confrontation, but it’s no use when everyone wants to be “the man who shot Ringo.” Filmed with striking deep focus black and white cinematography, THE GUNSLINGER ushered in a darker breed of brooding and complex westerns.
