This talk is based on research by local historian, Larry Kidder in his book, The Ten Crucial Days: Washington’s Vision for Victory Unfolds (The Knox Press). Mr. Kidder tells the story of the battles of Trenton and Princeton that took place between December 25, 1776 and January 3, 1777, as well as why they are so important in the history of the American Revolution. In many ways the talk focuses on the people of New Jersey, especially Hopewell Township, and how their lives were influenced by the events discussed. Co-sponsored with the Hopewell Valley Historical Society and the Hopewell Museum. Registration required; space is limited.
