The popular National Radio Day exhibit is back, and better than ever. Come to the Sarnoff Collection for a celebration of radio receivers, and take a tour with the Sarnoff curator through radio’s illustrious history. We’ll have every radio type from crystal sets to transistor radios, and everything in between. We will also have a special, recently acquired artifact on display from KDKA, the country’s first radio station. After looking at the radios, stop at our hands-on station at 2:00 where you’ll be able to build (and take home) your very own portable speaker.
Visitor parking information is available at the entrance to Parking Lot 17 and on the circle in front of the Education School. All Sarnoff events are free and open to the public.
