Come to a free public viewing of Princeton radio station WPRB’s 75th Anniversary history exhibit (“WPRB: A Haven for the Creative Impulse”) with station DJs spinning music all day, tons of great vinyl and CD for sale, classic station merch, and live music from Daniel DiMaggio of Home Blitz! (Solo set, 3 PM)
The exhibit includes decades worth of WPRB photos and ephemera, from radiator pipe broadcasts and campus protests to Jon Solomon’s 24-hour holiday specials and the emergence of hip-hop on shows like “Vibes & Vapors.” Plus interactive audio, heavily scarred Sun Ra, Joy Division, and John Cage vinyl, “Thanks IV Sharin'” fan mail, and personal testimonials from WPRB DJs of yore.
The Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library is located at 65 Olden Street in Princeton. (Right off of Nassau Street, near Hoagie Haven.)
