DESCRIPTION:The Antique Automobile Club of America Mid-Jersey Region comes to Terhune Orchards. Running Boards\, Rumble Seats\, Three-on-the-Tree\, Hand Crank Start\, Spoke Wheels and Flat Windshields.  Most of us don’t remember these features on cars\, but if you want to see them up close\, and the autos that have them\, join us for a display of antique vehicles on Saturday\, June 20\, 10am-3pm.  This group of cars and trucks will take you back to a time before seat belts and cup holders were invented.  Bring your kids and grandchildren so they can see how motoring used to look.  Owners will be nearby and will be happy to explain the uniqueness and quirks of their cars.    \nEnjoy a day on the farm with live music\, lunch and snack food. Winery in the orchard as you enjoy the car show.

DESCRIPTION:What can sixty images reveal about three centuries of community life? In 2014\, the Lawrence Historical Society installed a timeline mural in the Lawrence Township Municipal Building\, tracing 300 years of local history. The mural presents 60 carefully chosen images marking important moments in the township’s story\, from the late seventeenth century through the end of the twentieth. On May 12th\, join Dennis Waters\, former Lawrence Township historian and current member of the Mercer County Library Commission\, for a virtual guided “walk” along the timeline. Moving image by image\, he will explore the people\, places\, and events behind the photographs and illustrations\, offering historical context and little-known details to bring Lawrence Township’s past vividly to life. DESCRIPTION:Kite Day is a perfect time to explore the farm during this spring festival — Saturday\, May 2 & Sunday\, May 3\, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Spring on the farm is one of the most beautiful and exciting seasons.  All is ready for the bountiful growing season.  Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store.  Or better yet\, make a “guaranteed to fly” kite.  Whichever you choose\, take your kite on a test flight in Terhune’s wide-open 10-acre pasture with all the farm animals looking on. \nThe farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and the children can take home a piece of real fleece. On Sunday\, Princeton Morris Dancers will perform traditional May Day dances. There will be live music 1:00 – 4:00 pm each day. \nThe Handweavers of Bucks County will be providing demonstrations and selling their handiwork 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on both days. There will be weaving\, spinning\, basketry\, rug hooking\, and felting. See how these crafts are made and take the amazing artisan works home! \nSpecial for this weekend\, take a wagon ride around the farm 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Take a pony ride. Join in the fun of old-fashioned games and children’s activities in the barnyard\, such as Hopscotch and hula-hoop the horse. Kids will have a great time playing on the farm\, including Terhune’s special children’s play houses\, the Junior Mechanic Shop and Little Tots Farm Store.
