Princeton area road closure and detour updates

Ongoing

Princeton – Work for the PSE&G gas main replacement project on Route 27 takes place Monday-Thursday nights 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.  The construction started on Route 27 near Poe Road/Prospect Ave Extension and will progress southward and head in the direction of Harrison Street. 

Lawrence – Franklin Corner Road between Route 1 and Princeton Pike will be repaved between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Mon- Fri. until about Oct. 15. 1 lane open each way.

South Brunswick – Friendship Road between New Road and Broadway Road will be closed 9am- 5pm for a PSE&G gas main replacement project starting Oct. 8.  This is expected to last until October 18th.  Plan alternate route but detours will be in place.

South Brunswick Ongoing Traffic Projects – Oct. 13-19
Location:         Route 522/Georges Rd
Issue:               Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements, Trenching near intersection
Status:             Work is ongoing, expect lane closures

Location:         Carter Brook Lane 
Issue:               Curb, sidewalk, catch basin, milling and paving
Status:             Work is continuing

Location:         Friendship Road; Culver Road; Ridge Road
Issue:               PSE&G- utility pole replacement project
Status:             Work is ongoing, expect lane closures throughout the week

Location:         Promenade Boulevard
Issue:               Middlesex County improvements to landscaping and curbing
Status:             Expect single lane closures, work continuing.

Location:         Friendship Road (between New Rd and Broadway Rd)
Issue:               PSE&G gas main installations
Status:             Road closure through 10/18
