Girls from Mars (http://www.girlsfrommars.com/) sing and play swing music from the 1930s and ’40s made popular by such artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, the Andrews Sisters, the Boswell Sisters, Cats ‘N the Fiddle, Billie Holiday, and Glenn Miller. Benefit to help in the repairs of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, and of the 1867 Sanctuary in Ewing. This 7 hour event at the 1867 Sanctuary and featuring seven local bands playing 45 minute sets and donating their time (see website) is produced and organized by local musician Carm Marranco. There is no admission fee, but donations are encouraged. Patrons may come and go as they please. Sixty percent of the proceeds from this event will be sent…
